Oprah Winfrey said: “Turn your wounds into wisdom”. What did she mean by that?
Most of us learn from bad and negative events or experiences. These are experiences that open our eyes and point us to another path. They point us to the path of awareness and the path of wisdom.
If you’ve made a mistake in the past or tried something that didn’t work, now you know you should do it differently. If you walked through a path full of holes, you didn’t look under your feet and fell into one of the holes, now you know the next time you go the same way, you’ll pay attention to every step you take and you’ll get to your destination without falling into the hole again.
The main idea of this quote is that negative experiences or events teach us. In other words, we learn from our own mistakes or failures. We are constantly learning and gaining wisdom.
Accept yourself as you are now and I accept yourself with all your flaws and imperfections. Accept all your failures and decisions from the past. You are not defined by how many times you have failed, but by how far you have come and what you have learned from that journey.
