Aries Health Problems: Headaches, High Blood Pressure & More

You’re an Aries – the energetic, assertive, enthusiastic pioneers of the zodiac. Always on the go and ready for adventure, you Rams are natural-born leaders who love a challenge. But with all that fiery passion and ambition comes a tendency to overdo it, ignoring your physical and emotional needs.

As an astrologer, I’ve seen many Aries clients deal with health issues related to their fast-paced, high-stress lifestyle. Keep reading to discover the top health risks for Aries.

Aries’ Ruling Body Parts

Each zodiac sign in astrology is said to rule over certain body parts. Pisces, the last zodiac sign, rules the feet and everything on the bottom, while Aries, being the first sign, rules around the head area.

That stubborn ram nature is built into who we are, so headaches and migraines can be an issue. High blood pressure also seems common for those of us born under Aries, so watch your stress levels and how much salt you eat.

It makes sense that you’d be prone to accidents and injuries involving the head or face, too, given your assertive nature. Make sure to be careful and wear proper gear when doing anything dangerous. Also, watch out for sinus infections, allergies, and dental problems.

Mentally, Aries (and Geminis) are said to rule the brain and nervous system. Our minds rarely stop, so anxiety, insomnia, and restlessness are things some of us deal with. Find ways to burn off that mental energy, like puzzles, games, learning an instrument, or engaging in hobbies.

The adrenal glands are also ruled by Aries, so they can go into overdrive. Maintain a healthy diet and sleep routine so those body parts stay in working order. Our vitality depends on balancing activity with rest.

Eye Problems

You Rams are always on the go from one thing to the next. All that activity and excitement can put some extra stress on those peepers of yours. Make sure to give your eyes a break from screens and bright lights when you get the chance. Try doing some eye exercises like slowly rolling them in circles or moving them from side to side.

With that fiery temperament of yours, you’re also prone to things like dry eye syndrome or pink eye. Dry, irritated eyes are pretty common for Aries, so use some over-the-counter eye drops to keep your eyes lubed up and soothed.

To avoid pink eye, wash your hands frequently, don’t share linens or makeup with anyone who has an eye infection, and see an eye doc right away if your eyes get red, itchy, or swollen.

You also tend to hold a lot of tension in your face, especially when you’re feeling impatient or competitive. Pay attention to your facial expressions and make an effort to relax those eyes, eyebrows, and jaw of yours.

Blood Pressure

Aries tend to have higher blood pressure than other signs. And it totally makes sense – you Aries are pretty intense people! You get fired up easily, and your competitive nature drives us to be on the go all the time. No wonder your blood gets pumping.

You’ve probably heard others say Aries are “hot-blooded” and I see why now. All that energy and assertiveness you have can definitely raise those numbers. But you know, staying healthy is important too. We have to take care of ourselves if we want to keep that fire burning!

Making lifestyle changes like eating better and managing stress can really help. Easier said than done, though, right? As Aries, sitting still isn’t exactly your thing. But taking walks and cooking more at home can benefit your heart. And talking to your doctor for tips is probably a good idea, too.

Kidneys

According to astrology, your sign, Aries, rules over the kidneys. As a fellow Aries, you may find that your kidneys can be a bit more sensitive or prone to issues. Here are some things to watch out for:

Kidney stones could be a problem since we Aries folks have such a fiery nature. Those mineral deposits that form in the kidneys? Yeah, those kidney stones. Make sure to drink plenty of H2O to help flush out your kidneys and lower the risk of getting stones.

Infections of the kidneys or urinary tract seem to be more common for us Aries, too. If you start noticing pain or burning when peeing, or having to go frequently or urgently, or see blood or cloudiness in your urine, or get a fever and chills – get to the doctor right away. Catching kidney infections early is super important.

Also, with Aries symbolized by that ram, you may be more prone to accidents and injuries around the kidney area in your back. So be extra careful during activities that could lead to blows or punctures there. And if any trauma does happen to that area, go see the doctor promptly.

Your kidneys work hard to filter waste and toxins out of your body, so taking care of them should be a top priority. Pay attention to what your body is telling you, and focus on keeping your kidneys healthy to avoid potential problems down the road.

My Advice

Aries, take care of yourself, listen to your body, and see a doctor if anything feels off. You’ve only got one shot at this life, so do what you can to stay in top form. I know how stubborn you can be, thinking you can tough it out alone, but there’s no shame in checking in with a doctor if something doesn’t seem right. You have look out for yourself, my ram friend!
